Energy Light Bulb Question?
Local power company states if we replace 20 light bulbs with the new coiled energy efficient ones we could save &100/year.
The dang bulbs cost $7 a pop. Lets do the math $7×20=$140
so how am I saving $100?
BTW I purchased some of these bulbs they lasted one week. I cant take them back because who saves the receipt for light bulbs.

I confess I seriously looked at these “energy savers” and just like you, I have a lot of trouble with the so called saving compared to the cost.
While over a long term it might be justified if all you did was burn lights, but the truth is, people have appliances that are the big energy hogs, and the little dab used by lightbulbs pales in comparison.
And I know there is the argument that “everything helps”, which is true, but this is just my opinion.
